ME AND MY CAMERA

I am a North Dorset based photographer with a passion for capturing the beauty of nature in both its original and abstract sense.

With a particular fondness for early morning 'moments', I enjoy exploring woodlands, open fields and along the coast - my favourite spot is the one when I don't just see the landscape around me, I feel it. I always aim to capture that emotion in my photography: the woodland walk that makes you want to take the journey, the rolling hills that make you think about what is on the other side. 

 

Everything in nature has its own role: the bees and insects, the flowers and weeds, the trees, seas, rivers and fields. To sit and watch this all in action is thought-provoking.

Quite often my images are abstract or impressionistic. That is how I sometimes like to see the world around me; less defined so we can make up our own minds.  

​

I follow the ethical guidelines of Nature First and Leave no Trace. It is important to me that we show respect to the land around us. I will, however, run a mile if I see a snake or even a large worm!

 

I am self-taught, learning all the time. I hope you enjoy my journey.
